Oregon CrossFit's Best of the West Summer Event 2018

Registration will open back up on Tuesday, May 29th at 8:30am.

Final Date for Changes/Transfer of Registration would be Friday, August 17. T-shirt order would be done in advance of that date, so no promises on getting the right shirt size if you transfer late in July or August.

There are no refunds.... You are welcome to sell your spot up until Friday, August 17. If you sell your spot you will need to email sean@oregoncrossfit.com to get the sale finalized.

RX Division: RX is being able to complete the CrossFit Open as RX. This includes but isn't limited to being able to "RX" CrossFit named workouts such as; Grace, Isabel, Diane, Jackie, 30 M/U for time, Cindy. A scaled athlete would not be able to complete the above workouts as "RX'd". If you needed to scale the 2018 CrossFit Open and would still need to scale the 2017, 2016 CrossFit Open(today) you are a scaled athlete in terms of this event.

Scaled athletes: You should be able to complete some reps of the following movements: push ups, squats 95/65 both front and back, Thrusters 65/45, Deadlift 135/95, Snatch 65/45, Clean 95/65, American KB Swing 53/35 and shoulder to overhead 95/65

Teams: Should be able to meet most if not all of the standards in the RX division. Sometimes in teams if one partner has a skill they can cover for another partner that doesn't have the skill. A lot of team workouts are task completion and can be completed in anyway fashion.

Masters Teams:The plan is to base the Masters workouts off the 45-49 Age Range and use the appropriate movements that are associated with that range. Please refer to the Games site for ideas, such as: http://games.crossfit.com/workouts/masters-qualifier/2016 The masters teams combined age will need to be 75+ years old and the minimum age for a masters athlete is 35.

Scaled Male Team(2 person team) - Male

  • 30/30

    WOD 7: Starting at minute 3, 30 KB Snatches 53/35, then 30 Deadlifts (185/135). 1 Partner working at a time. Must be completely vertical, full extension on KB Snatch and Deadlifts. 5 Min Cap for this portion.

  • 2 Min Cal

    WOD 6: 2 mins to achieve Max Calories on the Rower. Partners can switch as they please.

  • WB Burpee

    WOD 5: Complete 3 Rounds of 80 Wall Balls and 20 Burpees onto Plate. Wall balls are 14/10lbs. 1 Partner working at a time, exchange away from pull-up by cone. Must stand up completely on top of the plate. Wall balls may not be started off a bounce.

    WOD 4: Starting at 9:00, complete 45 Snatches for Time at 95/65lbs. 1 Partner Working/On Mat at a time, task completion as a team. 4 Min Cap

  • 1200m Run

    WOD 3: 1200m Run for Time. Pairs are allowed to exchange 1 time. So Partner A can run 1 lap and tag Partner B (exchange at mat), at that time Partner A will SIT DOWN on the mat and Partner B will then have to run the remaining 2 laps. 8 Min Time Cap. If run is not completed in time, score will be laps completed, athlete out “on the run” will have the rest to return to their mat to get ready for WOD 4.
